The Boy and the Heron is such a weird and wild and wonderful film. I loved the vast array of sinister and silly (with many bird!) characters and I felt inspired to make this fan-art painting.
I first drew the illustration in pencil before painting it in watercolour, which features a whole host of the human and bird cast.
